Interconnection agreements between a power generator and a power grid company or agency ensure that the power generator is able to connect with and sell power through the grid. Interconnection agreements address such issues as the cost and placement of interconnection equipment. Many jurisdictions provide mandatory terms for access to power grids by renewable energy or independent power producers.
